PROGRAM OVERVIEW Program consists of six-hour and a half weekly sessions, each covering drug/alcohol education, the disease concept, family systems, self-esteem, personal values/beliefs, and decision making strategies. Activities include: discussions, paper work, videos, role playing, and when possible guest speakers.
RULES
- No absenses are permitted: Only one absence is permitted due to a death in the family or if you are ill, however, a parent must phone ahead and you will have to bring a doctor's note. Excuses such as car problems or no transportation are not acceptable. If you get arrested or lodged you will have to start the group over again. The sessions you previously attended will not count.
- Group begins at 6:00 p.m. and ends at 7:30 p.m. Tardiness is not allowed, doors close at 6:00 p.m. If you are late you will be marked absent and dropped from the group.
- Important: Confidentiality and participation.
SUNRISE HOUSE PROHIBITS THE FOLLOWING:
- Anyone under the influence of drugs/alcohol, will be turned away and dropped from the group.
- No possession, use or sales of drugs and weapons on premises.
- No smoking inside or outside of our facility.
- No clothing which represents any gang affiliation or drug paraphernalia.
- No hats, beanies, bandanas, dark glasses, hoods, and no pagers or cell phones interruptions are allowed.
- No violence or threats of violence to staff or any member of the group.
